    The Northern Stars

    Drawing on their heritage as veteran RCAF pilots, Greg Hume-Powell, Todd Farrell and Mario Hamel are the Northern Stars. Flying the classic Pitts Special in tight, precision formations and wringing it out with exciting freestyle maneuvers.

    Mini Jet (day show)

    Mini Jet Airshows’ daytime performance features the highly modified SubSonex Jet (JSX003)—a 500-lb experimental, fully aerobatic kit-built jet capable of speeds up to 300 mph. Powered by a PBS TJ-100 jet engine producing 258 lbs of thrust, this historic aircraft was the first SubSonex kit ever sold and flown

    The Next Gen Eagles are a thrilling formation aerobatic team led by Leland Kracher with Wingman Stephen Covington. Known as two of the most well-liked performers on the airshow circuit, they bring precision, excitement, and energy to every show.

    Jersey Jerks

    Mini Jet Airshows now takes the SubSonex JSX003 into the night, wrapped in bright, color-changing LEDs and shooting fireworks from the wingtips. Flying at sunset at the NJ Airshow for the first time, the 300-mph jet transforms from daytime precision to a high-energy, after-dark spectacle.

    The Homewrecker's three afterburners light up the runway as McCart races past the crowd. Over 36,000 horsepower is produced from the 18,000 lbs of thrust in the afterburners.

    Flag Jump

    Our skydivers open the NJ Airshow by descending from altitude with a massive American flag, flying it proudly over the crowd during the opening ceremonies. As they land on the show line, it sets a powerful patriotic tone and officially kicks off the weekend’s performances.

    The Flag Jump, proudly sponsored by iSkydive NYC, located right here at Greenwood Lake Airport, opens the show with a breathtaking display of patriotism as skydivers descend carrying the American flag to the National Anthem.

    Invasion New Jersey brings hundreds of drones to the night sky in a synchronized display alongside fireworks, lasers, pyrotechnics, and GhostWriter’s pyro-filled flight. It’s a signature part of the NJ Airshow’s night program.

    Fireworks

    The NJ Airshow fireworks are a staple of our grand finale—an expertly choreographed display that fills the sky with layered color, rapid-fire bursts, and large aerial shells many consider the best they’ve seen. As the fireworks build, GhostWriter flies precision aerobatics above the display, adding a unique aerial element to the finale.

    Nathan Hammond is one of the few remaining professional skywriters still performing in the world today, creating massive messages two miles high and up to ten miles wide. Visible for nearly 20 miles in every direction, his skywriting turns the sky itself into a canvas—an unforgettable sight and memory for everyone.
